Terms of Use

The ground rules for using Hombriva, reading our content, and sending us articles.

Effective date: [Month Day, Year]

In plain English

You can read and share links to our content. Don’t copy it wholesale, scrape it or misuse the site. If you send us an article, it has to be your own work. We can edit, decline or remove content. And please read the disclaimer, because home projects carry risk.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By using hombriva.com (“Hombriva,” “we,” “us”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live.

2. What Hombriva is

Hombriva is an information website about home repair and improvement. We don’t provide repair services, quotes or professional advice. Please read our Disclaimer, which is part of these terms.

3. Using the site

You agree not to:

  • Break the law or use the site for anything harmful or fraudulent.
  • Scrape, copy or republish our content in bulk, or use automated tools to harvest it.
  • Try to hack, overload or interfere with the site or its security.
  • Submit spam, malware or misleading content.
  • Pretend to be someone else or misrepresent who you are.

4. Our content and intellectual property

The text, design, logo and other material on Hombriva belong to us or to the contributors who wrote them, and are protected by copyright. You may read the site, quote short excerpts with a clear link back to the original, and share links. You may not republish full articles, sell our content, or present it as your own without written permission.

5. Guest posts and submissions

If you send us an article, pitch or other material, you confirm that:

  • It is your original work and doesn’t copy or infringe anyone else’s.
  • You have the right to use any images, data or quotes in it.
  • The facts and claims in it are accurate and can be backed up.
  • It hasn’t been published elsewhere and won’t be.

You keep ownership of your work. By submitting it, you give us a permanent, non-exclusive license to publish, edit, format, display and promote it on Hombriva. Submitting does not guarantee publication. We can edit, decline or remove any submission, before or after it goes live, including for quality, safety or policy reasons. Unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing, we don’t pay for guest posts.

6. Sponsored posts and paid placements

Sponsored content is labeled as sponsored and follows the same quality rules as other articles. Links in sponsored posts are marked rel=”sponsored”. Paying for a placement doesn’t buy editorial control over our site, and we don’t guarantee search rankings, traffic, or the lasting value of any link. We may refuse, edit or remove sponsored content that breaks our guidelines. [Payment, refund and revision terms are set out on the Sponsored Posts page and in your order confirmation.] See also our Editorial and Sponsored Content Policy.

7. Third-party websites

Our content links to other websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for what they say or do. Visiting them is at your own risk.

8. No warranties

We provide the site and its content “as is” and “as available.” We don’t promise that it will always be accurate, complete, up to date, secure or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Hombriva [and its owner, Your name or company], and our writers and contributors, aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any injury, loss or damage that arises from using the site or relying on its content. Some places don’t allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Indemnity

If your use of the site, or something you submit to us, leads to a claim against Hombriva, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows.

11. Ending access

We may suspend or block access to the site, and remove content, at any time if we believe these terms have been broken or the site needs protecting.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [State or country], and any dispute will be handled in the courts there, unless the law where you live says otherwise.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Using the site after a change means you accept it.

14. Contact
