What we expect
- Original. Not published anywhere else, and not a rewrite of someone else’s article.
- Useful to a homeowner. Answer a real question, with specifics, steps and honest cost ranges.
- Written by someone who knows it. Thin, padded or machine-generated filler gets rejected.
- Length. [1,000 words or more], with short paragraphs and clear subheadings.
- Safety. Flag anything involving electricity, gas, heights or structure, and say when to hire a pro.
- Images. Original or properly licensed, with a source if needed.
What we won’t publish
- Off-topic subjects like gambling, adult content, loans, crypto or supplements.
- Ads in article form. Brand mentions are fine when they help the reader, but the article can’t be a sales pitch.
- Risky DIY advice. Anything that could injure someone or break the law.
- Unsupported claims. If you quote a number or a study, link the source.
- Spammy links. [Up to 2 relevant links per article, plus the author bio link]

Do you accept paid guest posts?
Yes, as clearly labeled sponsored posts. They follow the same quality rules as everything else, and the links in them are marked rel=”sponsored”. Details are on the sponsored posts page.
Can I include a link to my website?
You can link to your site in your author bio, and add a small number of relevant links inside the article. Links need to help the reader. We remove ones that don’t.
Can I republish the article somewhere else?
No. We only publish original work, so please don’t post it elsewhere before or after we publish it.
How long until my article goes live?
After approval, [usually within 1 to 2 weeks]. We’ll let you know the date.
Will you edit my article?
Yes, lightly. We fix errors, tighten wording and adjust formatting. Bigger changes get sent back to you first.
Do you guarantee rankings or traffic?
No. We can’t promise search rankings or visitors from any article, and nobody honest can.
